First season of Eureka was a great success for SyFy, and at the time it was their most successful original series they made, with high ratings. And it was refreshing that they decided to invest in new series and not some low quality movies (they still make them unfortunately). Season two starts pretty much where season one ends after the experiment with the strange artifact they had stored on the level 5, and the timeline is restored.

SciFi channel over the years created many TV shows and TV movies. While the movies were mostly bad, original TV shows were treated much better. Eureka is one of the better shows they created, and one of the shows that had a big audience. This is not over complicated show, it's more of a light reading compared to many other science fiction shows but in this case that's very refreshing approach among very demanding genre.
