This is actually first mini series about natural disasters made by NBC, and it was broad-casted in 2004. But, for some strange reason NBC decided to make a sequel in for of another mini series 2 years later, and that one will be reviewed also. And as with any other similar movie, 90% of the science part of the story is totally unrealistic with very little connections to reality, and reasons for such script are beyond me.

Full name of the series in the first season and part of second was '8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter', and is based on the book by the same name from W. Bruce Cameron. This is also the last work on television from great John Ritter. 8 Simple Rules is a sitcom, and is created by Tracy Gamble, and premiered on ABC in 2002.
