Right of the top, this is one of the best TV series I have ever seen. Single season with 6 episodes or mini series is all the same. Important thing is that even now, 25 years later this series is still watched and talked about, and recently it was even remade by the same director who directed the original. Written by Troy Kennedy Martin and directed by Martin Campbell, Edge of Darkness is a series you simply must see.

I must say that I have only heard about the book, original movie (1961) or the one from 1981, but I have never read the book and I never have seen these movies. And I really expected that this latest adaptation would be interesting, and according to trailers it was very promising. But, this once again proves that trailers are not to be trusted. This two part mini series is created and broad-casted in UK by BBC.

Way back in the 1969, BBC has agreed to air 13 episodes of a show without the name, without the clear concept and content. Only after that a group of 6 young actors (and writers and musicians as it turns out) had named the new series Monty Python's Flying Circus by going through series of random names until they all agreed on Monty Python. So, the first episode of the legendary series aired on October 5 1969. on BBC One.
