During the sea­son 3 and sea­son 4 of Bat­tlestar Galac­tica, pro­duc­ers started work­ing on another series based in the same uni­verse, this time set in the past, before the first Cylon war. Some 6–7 months ago, a TV movie Caprica has been released as an intro­duc­tion into the upcom­ing series under the same name. And now, the series pre­miere is only few months away, and will start on jan­u­ary 22, 2010 with 2 hour premiere.

To be hon­est, I didn’t liked Caprica movie, but it defin­i­tively had poten­tial, and I am look­ing for­ward to the series to start. It’s going to be much dif­fer­ent from Bat­tlestar Galac­tica, so don’t expect space bat­tles or the same struc­ture of the series. This is pre­quel set 58 years in the past, before the first Cylon war, and all 12 colonies are at peace.
