Some two months ago I have posted a news about TV series Haven pro­duced for USA TV, based on the Stephen King’s Col­orado Kid novel, and now, another Stephen King novel will most likely be turned into a TV series. This time, it’s the novel Under The Dome, released a week ago, and already is a best­seller. But, this time Steven Spiel­berg is inter­ested in col­lab­o­rat­ing with King on bring­ing this novel to tele­vi­sion screens.

And, just today, I have received my copy of novel Under the Dome from Ama­zon, and hope­fully, I will find a free time to read it soon. Book has over 1000 pages, and based on what I have read so far about it, it’s per­fect for TV adaptation.

King and Spiel­berg already tried to adapt the The Tal­is­man, King’s col­lab­o­ra­tion work with Peter Straub, but for now that project is not happening.

Under the Dome will be most likely made by HBO, with King and Spiel­berg as exec­u­tive pro­duc­ers. It’s announced that they will soon form a writ­ing team and begin work on adap­ta­tion soon. HBO is a good news for such project, and I expect that they will do a good job with the series.
