When FlashForward started few months ago, I really liked the concept and expected a lot from it. And first few episodes were great, but that soon changed and it wasn’t as interesting and dynamic as it was at the start. They managed to pull through and last 2 episodes seems to be back on track. And all hopes that FlashForward is new Lost as it was speculated, were gone. And now, there are more production problems.
As it turns out, David Goyer is no longer running the series. He stated that even though he will be still involved with the series, his other projects and feature films will take priority. Mark Guggenheim was showrunner after the series premiere, but in October that also ended. And with long break between first half and continuation scheduled for March 18, ratings that were not very high to begin with, FlashForward future doesn’t look good.
Right now, there are no announcements about who will replace Goyer, but production has reach episode 18 of the 23 ordered. Let’s hope that they will sort things out before is too late. Concept used in the series is great and they started well. It would be great to see the ending.
