Wow, I really don’t know what to say. The end of second season is very interesting and unexpected. We saw that Lincoln acquitted of all charges and that he became a free man, but events took a strange turn and, again, we are at the beginning. Again, we see attempts of organizing and going through with the plan to escape from the prison with reverse roles this time and with different environment, unfamiliar and out of control.

Story

First two seasons, we were following Scofield sticking to the previously arranged and detailed plan of escape. Good here with this season is that now, situation is different, and he needs to make a plan as he goes, to show how intelligent and capable he is. New prison, with no blue prints, with unfamiliar terrain and wild inmates. Prison hold the worst inmates in Panama, with no guards, where inmates are running things, surrounded with no-mans-land controlled by the police trying to prevent them from escaping. But, this is only a pale copy of the first season, a rehashed story with nothing much to offer. They made more complex and complicated story about Company, added few more characters. And, the whole story became boring. This season proves that they should have stopped with the series after second season, and that it was best to make another ending.

Characters

Prison Break: Season 3

Prison is controlled by Luchero, inmate played by Robert Wisdom who is very dominating, strong and really perfect for this role. William Fichtner, is once again, a secret star of the series and he showed a lot of his talent in character transformation as agent Mahone, now behind bars. New female lead is beautiful Jodi Lyn O’Keefe in role of Gretchen Morgan, employee of the Company. Lincoln, now outside the prison works with Danay Garcia in role of Sofia Lugo.

Production

This season has only 13 episodes caused by the WGA strike. Series is shot in Dallas (Sona prison location), and some parts are shot in Panama City for authenticity.

Conclusion

The only reason to watch this season is because you have already seen previous two, but all in all this is not as good continuation and not worthy of the first two seasons. But, one more is left, and maybe it will get better.
