Even with the Battlestar Galactica completed, there are many more stories that can be told, and some of them will be with more TV movies in the future. First one of these movies is The Plan. Each episode in the first two seasons were always starting with a short intro and saying the Cylons have the plan and that this plan included annihilation of the human race. So, now, finally we will see what the Plan was and why they abandon it.

Battlestar Galactica had very complex story line, and it was simply impossible to follow all elements of the story. But there are some things that needed further explanation, and some way to tie some loose ends before going on with the main story. So, after the season 3 ended, producers decided to tell a back-story that will prove to be very important for the last season storyline, and with that second TV movie in the series was made.

After surprising cliffhanger ending season one, Battlestar Galactica returns with second, and in my opinion best season in the series. This is also the first full BSG season with 22 episodes. There were many improvements over the first season, and that is the case with better stories and much better music. This season proves that re-imagined Battlestar Galactica is truly amongst the best sci-fi genre TV series or movies has to offer.

Mythological elements are more pronounced in the survivors quest for Earth and long lost 13-th tribe. Cast for the series has remained the same as in the miniseries, with many more support cast and guest stars added.

Original Battlestar Galactica was made in 1978 and from that time has become one of the cult SciFi shows. But, I didn't really liked the original, so I wasn't sure about the remake. But, as it turns out, new BSG is so much different from the original series. The basics are the same, but the execution, visual styles and atmosphere are changed, and much improved in my opinion. And it starts with the 4 hour movie known as a Miniseries.
